Stephan Bieri


Stephan Bieri
holds a PhD in Economics and worked on research projects including Cost-Benefit-Analysis and Systems Engineering. He started his career in the public sector, and during many years he gave lectures and graduate courses with a focus on Economics and Planning Theory at the University of Zurich. From 1984 to 1995 he was the CEO of a large utility and the President of an international general contractor. Then he became the CEO and Vice-President of the ETH Domain, a leading University System. Since 2004 Stephan Bieri focuses his activities on evaluation, especially as peer leader, and strategic consulting. Until 2015/16, he chaired the Scientific Advisory Board of Virginia Bioinformatics Institute, Blacksburg VA, and the University Council of University of Bayreuth. He chaired many Peer Groups.
