Anna-Marion Bieri holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from the MIPLC at the Max Planck Institute in Munich, Germany, and an LL.B. (Hons) from Durham University, UK. For several years she worked in the Private Banking Sector in Zurich, where she consulted clients on legal and tax issues, and later for a small boutique executive search firm in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In 2007 Anna-Marion Bieri founded Bieri IP Partner together with her father Stephan Bieri. Since May 2010 she works for Virginia Tech’s College of Science in Blacksburg VA, USA, where she is Assistant Professor of Practice and Director of the Science, Technology and Law Program. As part of her research activities, Anna-Marion Bieri is currently working on a publication entitled “The Ownership of University Inventions: on the Interdependence between Intellectual Property, Knowledge and Society”.
